Charity Autographs Auction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is great expectation among autograph collectors for the first auction of contemporary autographs organized by Galileum Autographs in collaboration with the Associazione Autografia – Calligraph Appraisers and Certificators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to the enormous interest that the autograph market arouses, Galileum Autografi, an Italian company specialized in trading of historical autographs, has decided to broaden its horizons and launch into the trade of contemporary autographs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Galileum Autografi team has therefore launched an online auction on its Galileum Auctions platform, which will start on Friday 22 January 2021 and which for eight days will collect the bets of collectors and enthusiasts of sports, musical autographs and personages from contemporary history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With this occasion Galileum Autografi decided to support the Meyer Hospital Foundation, donating part of the proceeds from the auction to the Oncology Department of the Meyer Pediatric Hospital. The Associazione Autografia will provide for each autograph on sale the valuable Registered Certificate of Authenticity, which will be issued completely free of charge. The most important and precious autographs will instead be accompanied by the exclusive and innovative Interactive COA R, the first digital Certificate of Authenticity in the world created by the Autografia Association and accessible via QR Code from the camera of any smartphone or tablet (for more info click here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have to report with great joy that the initiative was also warmly welcomed by numerous collectors, who have decided to deprive themselves of some of their treasures by putting them up for auction, and who will also donate part of their income to the Meyer Foundation. In order to ensure maximum transparency, the percentage that will be donated to the Meyer Pediatric Hospital Foundation will be shown on each item sheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But what are the autographs that will be sold on auction?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lots for sale will be over 120, one more interesting than the other. In the Sport room we will find a shirt signed by Diego Armando Maradona and one by Marco Pantani, a shirt that collects the German World Champions militant in Bayern M\u00fcnchen in the 2010\/2011 season, Paolo Rossi and again Schumacher, Hayden, George Best, Valentino Rossi, Gino Bartali and many more many others. Together with Maradona and Pantani, a very rare autograph on a photo of the greatest baseball champion of all time, Baby Ruth, completes the spearhead of the auction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Music and Entertainment room we will be able to find among others a LP signed by Michael Jackson, Anna Magnani, Maria Callas, a precious autograph of the Prince of laughter Antonio de Curtis known as Tot\u00f2, the complete band of Pooh with Stefano D’Orazio, Lawrence Olivier, Vasco Rossi, three drawings by David Bowie’s mentor choreographer Lindsay Kemp, Shirley Temple and again Dustin Hoffman, Brad Pitt, Mahmood, Francesco Guccini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the autographs of the 20th century not related to sports or music, the postcard with a famous mountaineering expedition to the Karakorum of 1958, an autograph of John XXIII, Pope and Saint, the Nobel Prize for Medicine John Gurdon, Milo Manara, will be offered for sale the great Chefs of Masterchef Cracco, Cannavacciuolo and Barbieri and others such as Indro Montanelli, Enzo Biagi and Laura Fermi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
